July 27, 2015

I know I have a few days of catching up to do for the challenge but first I wanted to say thank you for all the kind words regarding our decision to homeschool! We are very lucky to have such great friends and family who are supporting us with this!!

I will do the challenges at the end of this post but  before I do I need to fill you all in on our exciting weekend....well Friday night any way.  So on Wednesday.....Wednesday, Nathan called to say that his friend had an extra derby car and needed a driver. Magical extra derby cars seem to pop up a lot with Mr. BJ. :) Even though I was not thrilled to have the husband running a demolition derby car, I knew Mr. BJ would keep him safe. So after a few late nights working on the car they were ready to go.

The heat was no joke on Friday so I spent most of the evening spraying my kids with a water bottle and reminding them to drink their water.

Safety first, unfortunately it was a fight most of the evening to keep them on him.

There he is, at this point I was pretty much going to throw up.

He did great, his car didn't go up in flames, and he made it to the finals.

This is how I spent watching the first heat. :) Also a quick thank you to my friend Jessica for taking all the pictures, and helping with the kids the whole evening!! You are the absolute best!!!

He made it out of the first heat alive and no least not any he is owning up to. :)

Sister, bless her heart, was not impressed with any of it, and was in tears by the time her daddy was done.

We all watched a few more heats and then it was time for the finals.

Much to Nathans disappointment he had some car troubles and didn't do as well as he was hoping to, I on the other hand was ok with that! :)

Thankfully Saturday was a lot less stressful! I spent the morning in town getting some coffee and a pedicure (thanks for the gift card Diana!) and then this pretty lady and I headed a few hours down the road to celebrate a beautiful wedding for one of our sweet friends! I was to busy enjoying the amazing scenery and drinks :) of the vineyard we were at that I didn't snap one single picture of anything else! But i can assure you that Kim had a beautiful wedding and she was absolutely stunning!!

Ok now for the extremely behind challenges.

Challenge 24:
What books are you currently reading or what was the last book you read?
Michelle got this book by Holly Gerth for me when she went on trip a while back. It is defiantly one that makes you think. I'm only about half way though but it has already been a game changer for me.

The last book I read I believe was fun one. It is about an american woman living in France and taking note of how they parent. Her stories are absolutely hilarious and this book is hard to put down!

Challenge 25:
What is your favorite Disney character and why?
It's probably a tie between Ariel from the little mermaid and Merida from the movie Brave. Ariel cause that was my favorite when I was little and Merida because curly hair girls gotta stick together.

Challenge 26:
Name 10 places you would like to visit?
I would like to take my kids to:
*Disney world
*see the mountains

I would like to go:
*back to Hawaii
*back to Europe
*I would like to go see some of the National Parks
*I would like to go to the Mall of America at least once. :)

I don't know where else....I'm trying to wrap this up before the baby wakes up from a nap so I'm just going to leave it at that! :)

Challenge 27:
Are you messy or neat?
Both. I like to be neat, but with 4 kids and a baby who still doesn't sleep thought the night sometimes I join in on naptime and the cleaning gets pushed to the side. But my mood is a direct reflection of  my house. If my house is picked up and organized I can take on anything, I'm happier and more productive, but if it is a mess then I am a mental case.  Currently my house is a disaster and I am equally as annoying. :)

Alight the baby is awake and I need to clean! Happy Monday!!
