March 30, 2012

This isn't quite what I had planned for Friday but this is what I'm doing.

Apparently my mama should have put me in ballet class instead of my sister. I obviously am the one who needs to work on my gracefulness! Last night we were leaving the house I was holding Kota Bear and Mr. Hunter and Junebug were in front of me, they had already made it down the stairs. There are 2 stairs that come off our porch...2. I now know that it only take 1 stair (or missing 1 stair) to make your foot look like this..... (warning it's not normal looking!)

(this was last night shortly after it happened, I will spare you the unwrapped picture from today)
First off Kota Bear is perfectly fine! I landed on my big ole' hiney still holding him perfectly secure and he was laughing and signing "more" so he thought it was a fabulous ride, no worries! :) After a trip to the ER and a call back from our doctor this morning my ankle is fine (no break) but my foot x-ray had some '"abnormalities" so doctor told me to stay off it... which upon hearing I busted out laughing.  :) So this is what i am up to today. Thankfully my wonderful husband is staying home today and my in-laws have been helping out with the kids, my mama is coming tomorrow to help and discuss the possibilities of getting me into a ballet class as soon as I can walk. :)

1 Year Old

March 28, 2012

Well baby boy you are officially 1 today. This year has gone by way to fast!

You have kept us on our toes from the moment you decided you needed to come earlier than planned. :)

Your first six months were rough ones to say the least but from the start you have shown us what a strong little guy you are and you had a smile on your face the whole time.

You have just the right amount of orneriness to hold your own with your brother and sister,

and a voice that you make sure gets heard! :)

Your smile can light up a room and melt your mama's heart in an instant.

Kota Bear you have been such a blessing to our little family and we love you to the moon and back, with all our heart!

Party Party Party

March 27, 2012

On Saturday we had little Kota Bear's 1st Birthday Party (he will be 1 tomorrow!!)

Nana once again made an amazing cake for my little car fanatic.

All the "big" kids eating and snooping in the gifts! :)

Big brothers and sisters like to help open gifts. :)

He adores his lovely that Granny Great made him.

Our little family :)

Seriously he will be 1 tomorrow?! How is that even possible?!

Sweet Caroline loves her auntie :)

It was such an amazing day we moved the party outside.

The cake was a hit,

everyone loved it!

Going on a drive in his new birthday car to see Nana and Grandpa's chickens.

These two have a special bond over the chickens.

We finished up the party at Nana's house where there is the "good grass" according to Mr. Hunter. :)

It was an awesome party and we both crashed hard! :) Thanks to all the family that came to spoil our little guy, he totally knew that the party was for him and he is keeping close dibs on all his new toys!!

Country babies like to play in the mud.

March 23, 2012

Yesterday Mr. Hunter and I saw a picture of some of Mr. Hunter and Junebug's friends playing in the mud, and in true Mr. Hunter fashion he begged that we could go play.  So our dear friend Hallie (the friend's mommy) very sweetly obliged and let our Herd come to take over her house! :)

The boys wasted no time and jumped right in,

and the girls were busy making mud pies and bringing their gabbing mama's "hot cups of coffee"

So sweet to see the girls growing up into such classy mud lovin ladies!

He was having a blast!

Yes little Junebug has a mud mustache, she was in heaven. :)

Before bed tonight I asked Mr. Hunter what his good part/ bad part of his day was. His good part was playing in the mud with his friends, his bad part was having to leave his friend's house. :)
Hallie we had a great time today!! Thank you so much for letting us bombard your house. :) It's nice being able to gab with another mommy of 3, and I can't promise that next time it rains you won't find us on our doorstep! :)

Spring Break

This week the babies and I headed back to my home town for a little vaca with the cousin for spring break. We were also back to celebrate Papa and Mr. Hunter's birthday with my sisters (the aunties weren't able to come to the spider-man party)

Before the party festivites started the kiddos played outside for a bit.

And picked lovely weeds  flowers for Bunny.

After the kids couldn't run around anymore we officially started Papa and Mr. Hunter's birthday party with a pinata.

We didn't have a blindfold so Mr. Hunter improvised with his new hat. :)

For Uncle Matt's safety we decided that a stick would be the safest tool to use!

After a few hits he actually knocked a piece of candy out then it was down hill from there. He found the pull cord and the candy went flying,

And the little girls came flying in! :)

After the fun outside we came in to party a little more.

Thanks Aunt Debby and Jennifer for the table! The kids love it!!

This weekend Auntie Libby taught Mr. Hunter that "the that way" here he is demonstrating.

The birthday boys. I hate that the flash is showing in the picture but it was just to cute not to share. :)

Mr. Hunter about fell over dead when he pulled out his happy napper  from Auntie Libby. He has been wanting one of these since Christmas!

Papa got a bunch of his favorite "never foods" which he very sweetly shared with the little girls. The rest of us had to sneak them! :)

Auntie KK gave Mr. Hunter a spider-man outfit for Blackie Bear he absolutely loved it. I know that because Mr. Hunter told me that Blackie Bear said that. :)

Can't you just tell that Blackie Bear loves it, and that Lucky (the name he chose for his Happy Napper) loves his new home? I know that Lucky loves his new home because Mr. Hunter told me that too. :)

And this girl just loves cake, she takes after her mama.

The birthday boys blowin out the candles.

She loves cake too, she also takes after her auntie. I'm happy to pass on that love.

And this guy just loves birthdays.

Kota Bear got to have a practice round for his up coming party. He is almost 1. I can't believe it!

Sweet Caroline enjoying a lazy morning coloring.

I guess toast tastes better at Bunny's house. :)

He is growing in to such a boy now...not a little kid anymore!

Junebug was excited to see that Bunny had princess crowns at her house too. This girl is obsessed with anything and everything princess.

It rained most of the time we were there so we decided to take a little trip to the town museum.

Finally before we left Mr. Hunter got to go out with Auntie Libby and run in the water!

Which was freezing but you get to do silly things on spring break right?!
